Trump previously said he had been willing to go toe-to-toe with President Joe Biden and agreed to ABC’s first invitation issued in May.

However, after Biden dropped out of the race last month and Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee, Trump had implied he would not debate Harris on ABC.

Harris has accused Trump of “running scared” and trying to back out of the debate.

President Donald Trump has confirmed that he has accepted ABC News’ offer to participate in a debate with Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris. The debate is scheduled to take place on October 15th, just a few weeks before the highly anticipated November election.

This announcement comes after weeks of speculation about whether or not Trump would agree to participate in any debates at all. The president has been vocal about his concerns regarding the format and moderators of the debates, but it seems that he is now willing to engage in a face-to-face discussion with Harris.

The debate between Trump and Harris is sure to be a highly anticipated event, as both candidates have strong personalities and differing views on a wide range of issues. Trump, known for his brash and confrontational style, will likely bring his trademark energy and enthusiasm to the debate stage. Harris, on the other hand, is known for her calm and collected demeanor, as well as her sharp wit and intelligence.

The topics of discussion are expected to cover a wide range of issues, including the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, racial justice and police reform, the economy, healthcare, and foreign policy. Both candidates will have the opportunity to present their views and policies to the American people, and voters will have the chance to see how they stack up against each other.

The debate between Trump and Harris is sure to be a pivotal moment in the 2020 election, as it will give voters a chance to see the two candidates side by side and make an informed decision about who they believe is best suited to lead the country for the next four years. It will also be a chance for both candidates to make their case to the American people and try to win over any undecided voters.

Overall, the confirmation of Trump’s acceptance of ABC News’ offer to debate Harris is a significant development in the 2020 election cycle. It promises to be a lively and informative event that will give voters a chance to see the two candidates in action and make an informed decision on Election Day.
