Two individuals were seriously injured in a small plane crash near an interstate south of Denver on Tuesday afternoon. The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. local time, when the single-engine aircraft went down just off Interstate 25, near the town of Castle Rock.
According to reports from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the plane was attempting to make an emergency landing after experiencing engine trouble. The pilot and one passenger were on board at the time of the crash, and both sustained serious injuries. They were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
